Our Story

For more than twenty years, I worked with silk, creating garments that celebrated femininity, comfort and timeless beauty. Working with beautiful natural fibres taught me something I have never forgotten: what touches our skin matters.

As I moved through my 40s and 50s and now in my 60s, I became more curious about the changes I was seeing in my own skin. I began looking more closely at skincare, ingredients and simple at-home tools — not in pursuit of looking younger, but of caring for my skin well and feeling confident in it.

What started as personal curiosity became the inspiration for SilkyBare: a place where silk, skincare and thoughtful self-care come together.

From Silk to Skin

Working with silk for more than two decades taught me to appreciate quality, texture and the importance of what we choose to place against our skin.

I have carried that same philosophy into SilkyBare. Whether I am considering skincare, a facial tool or a silk essential, I look for products that feel beautiful to use, serve a genuine purpose and can become part of everyday life.

It is a simple approach: choose thoughtfully, use consistently and make caring for yourself something to enjoy.

Growing older has changed the way I think about beauty. For me, it is no longer about trying to turn back time. It is about looking after ourselves, feeling confident in our skin and embracing the changes that come with each stage of life.

I believe the small things we do consistently can make a difference — taking time for our skin, creating a calming evening routine, sleeping well and choosing products that make those everyday moments feel a little more special.
